Old Cars and New Love

My class recently took photos at the Georgia National Fair in Perry, Georgia. It was a long 16-hour day full of color and excitement. In the midst of the chaos, I found an incredible couple. Joan and Tommy Couch met each other just a few years ago at a Mercedes car show. They were both widowers, and neither could deny their connection from the day they met. Tommy courted Joan for a time, and eventually won her over. The two now participate in car clubs together and enjoy going to car shows and meeting new people.

The car that they were showing at the fair was a 1964 Corvair that Joan bought as her first car after becoming a flight attendant with Delta. She kept the car throughout the years, and she now has Tommy’s help with keeping it in tip-top shape.
